In accordance with the provisions of the Ohio Revised Code, Chapters 519.04 – 519.12, the Howland Zoning Commission will accept public comment regarding the proposed rezoning of more than ten parcels within Howland Township. The proposed rezoning affects six areas of Howland Township:

  1. North side of North River Road in an area including the southerly part of Spring Run Condominiums and River Glen Condominiums - Map
  2. Small portion of a parcel within the Avalon Golf and Country Club - Map
  3. Parcels in the vicinity of the Northeast corner of East Market and North Road - Map
  4. Parcels on the east side of Niles-Cortland Road SE, in the vicinity of Hidden Hills Drive - Map
  5. Parcels on the east and west side of Niles Cortland Road SE, south of Mines Road - Map
  6. Parcel at the southeast corner of SR82 and Howland Wilson Road SE - Map

Approval of the rezoning is considered an amendment to the zoning resolution and map. The proposed zoning amendments are available for public examination at the Township Administration Building, Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm., or at www.howlandtownship.org. After the conclusion of the public hearing, the matter will be submitted to the Board of Township Trustees for its action.
