NOTICE OF MEETING

HOWLAND TOWNSHIP BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS

Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. 

In accordance with the provisions of the Ohio Revised Code, Chapters 519.13 – 519.15, the Howland Township Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a public meeting within the hearing room at the Howland Township Administration Building, 205 Niles-Cortland Road NE, Warren, Ohio, 44484 regarding the item on the following agenda. Case 18-A-08: Conditional Use Request & Variance –730 Howland Wilson Road NE, Parcel ID# 28-006504, Warren, Ohio, 44484. 

Location:               ± 4.7 acre parcel situated on the on the northeast corner of Howland Wilson Road NE and Singing Hills Drive NE.

Zoning:                 R-1 Single-Family Residential.

Requests:             Conditional Use Request citing the Howland Township Zoning Resolution: Section 4.04, Permitted Uses Table. Applicant requests a conditional use for the continued and expanded use of R-1 property for a place of worship and associated functions. Proposed construction includes a small welcome room, rest rooms, and a multi-purpose accessory addition.

                                           Variance Request from the Howland Township Zoning Resolution: Section 4.06(F)(11), Site and Building Design Standards, in reference to Section 5: Corridor Review Districts, (5.04)(D) (2)(b) Roof Shapes, whichrequires that where a flat roof is constructed, it shall be enclosed on all sides by a parapet of at least 42 inches in height above the roof surface. Applicant requests a variance of 24 inches from the required 42 inch parapet wall height on the proposed multi-purpose addition.
