The Howland Training Center will be offering an Instructor course for those interested in becoming Fire and Emergency Services Instructor.

    Monday, February 24 – Thursday, February 27

Times:9:00am–5:00pm 
Location: Howland Station 30 at 169 Niles-Cortland Rd. NE, Warren

Cost: $474.00         Purchase Orders will be accepted from departments

Dress Code: Business Casual. No jeans or t-shirts.

Registration Deadline: January 31, 2025.

All prerequisites must be met at the time of registration.
Please include with registration the following items:
State Certification card
NIMS ICS 100, 700 & 200

The new course consists of 80 hours of classroom instruction and a capstone project.
NOTE: An individual who holds at least a baccalaureate degree in education may receive credit for the 80 hours
of instruction of adult students and basic teaching techniques. All other requirements for instructor certification
must be met. These individuals should be directed to the Division of EMS for prior approval.
Prerequisites for Instructor:
In the preceding seven years, has been certified or licensed for at least five years as a Fire and/or
EMS provider, registered nurse, or physician assistant
Possesses a current and valid certificate in good standing as a Fire and/or EMS provider, or holds
a current and valid Ohio license to
practice as a registered nurse or a physician assistant
