Notice is hereby given that Howland Township Board of Trustees, Trumbull County, Ohio, will accept sealed bids for HOSE, NOZZLES, AND APPLIANCES until 4 PM Eastern Standard Time on February 10, 2025, at the Howland Township Administration Building, 205 Niles-Cortland Road N.E. Warren, Ohio 44484. Bids will be opened at said time and place by the fiscal office and read aloud.
Plans, specifications, bidding forms, and contract documents can be obtained at the Howland Township Administration Building, located at 205 Niles-Cortland Road N.E. Warren, Ohio, 44484, or the Howland Township Fire Department, located at 169 Niles-Cortland Road N.E. Warren, Ohio 44484. The offices are open Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM.
Bids must be made on the Bid Blank prescribed by the Trustees and shall be in a sealed envelope stating what the bid covers, the name and address of the bidder, and addressed to the Howland Township Board of Trustees, Attn: Fiscal Officer, 205 Niles-Cortland Road N.E. Warren, Ohio 44484. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check on a solvent pack or a bid bond in the sum of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid amount made payable to the Howland Township Trustees as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered in the proper manner. The checks of unsuccessful bidders shall be returned to them by the contracting authority immediately upon awarding the final contract or rejection of all bids.
Bids of Corporations not charted in the State of Ohio must be accompanied by proper Certification that such corporation is authorized to do business in the State of Ohio.
The attention of bidders is directed to the requirement that each proposal must be accompanied by a Non-Collusion Affidavit and Personal Property Tax Affidavit duly signed by the bidder. In the event the successful bidder refuses to enter into a contract, the bidder will be held liable for damages and expenses as provided by the law as per ORC Section 153.54. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the time of the opening bid.
The Howland Township Board of Trustees has the right to reject any and all bids and to delete any part of the proposal herein. The Howland Township Board of Trustees shall determine the rejection of any / or all bids in the public interest.
