ODOT Announces 2025 Traffic Signal Project in Howland Township, Trumbull County
HOWLAND TOWNSHIP - The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) proposes to install a new traffic signal at the SR 46/Howland Springs Road intersection in Howland Township, Trumbull County. No right-of-way is anticipated for this project. The proposed project is currently in the engineering phase. Construction is currently scheduled to begin construction in the fall of 2025.
During project construction, two-way traffic shall be maintained on a minimum of two 11-foot lanes by use of existing pavement. Lane closures shall not be permitted during the hours of 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. as well as 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on weekdays. If it's necessary to stop all traffic for overhead work, the stoppage shall be less than ten minutes in any one 30-minute period. Lane restrictions and/or traffic stoppage information will be posted within the project construction limits prior to the implementation of any restriction or stoppage at the respective intersection locations. Access shall be maintained to all adjacent properties, businesses and intersecting side streets for the duration of the construction project.
While the proposed project will not result in any impacts to environmental resources, ODOT is seeking any comments the public may have regarding the proposed project.
