Motion:
Per the recommendation of Administrator James Pantalone, schedule a Special Meeting of the Howland Township Board of Trustees on Monday, September 22, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. for the purpose of discussing concerns related to potential property tax reductions or elimination, and the resulting impact on Township operations. An open invitation to attend will be extended to Trumbull County government elected officials, including State Representative Nick Santucci, State Representative David Thomas, and State Senator Sandra O’Brien, in an effort to foster dialogue on this important topic.

A RESOLUTION TO SCHEDULE A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE HOWLAND TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES
WHEREAS, the Howland Township Board of Trustees is committed to fiscal responsibility and the continued delivery of essential township services; and
WHEREAS, potential reductions or the elimination of property tax revenue could significantly impact the Township’s ability to fund operations; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees finds it necessary to convene a Special Meeting to address these concerns and evaluate the potential impacts on Township operations; and
WHEREAS, Administrator James Pantalone has recommended that such a Special Meeting be scheduled and that invitations be extended to appropriate government officials to participate in an open dialogue regarding this important matter.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Township Trustees of Howland Township, Trumbull County, Ohio, that:
Section 1. A Special Meeting of the Howland Township Board of Trustees shall be scheduled for Monday, September 22, 2025, at 6:00 p.m.
Section 2. The purpose of this meeting shall be to discuss concerns related to potential property tax reductions or elimination and the resulting impact on Township operations.
Section 3. An open invitation to attend this Special Meeting shall be extended to Trumbull County government elected officials, including State Representative Nick Santucci, State Representative David Thomas, and State Senator Sandra O’Brien, in an effort to foster dialogue and collaboration on this important topic.
